Before you use Kestor
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Kestor, including our website, web application, and related services.
Please read these Terms carefully before creating an account, subscribing, or using Kestor. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service.
Kestor is an online software service operated from Kosovo for freelancers and small businesses.

Some of the most important parts of these Terms are:
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.
- You are responsible for your account credentials and the activity under your account.
- You keep ownership of the business data you submit to Kestor, but you give us the rights needed to run the service.
- Paid plans may renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal.
- Kestor is software only and does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory advice.
- We may suspend accounts, change features, or discontinue parts of the service.
- Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
About Kestor
Kestor provides invoicing and related business workflow tools for freelancers and small businesses.
These Terms apply to Kestor and related services unless we expressly state that different terms apply to a specific feature or offering.
Who can use Kestor
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use Kestor.
If you use Kestor on behalf of a business or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
Your account
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Providing accurate and current account information.
- Promptly notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
Your license to use Kestor
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use Kestor for your internal business purposes.
This license is provided only for your permitted use of the service and does not give you ownership of Kestor or any rights beyond those expressly granted here.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use Kestor for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive activity.
- Interfere with the security, integrity, or operation of the service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
- Reverse engineer, copy, resell, scrape, or misuse the service except where applicable law does not allow that restriction.
- Upload or transmit malware, harmful code, or content that infringes the rights of others.
- Use Kestor to send spam or unauthorized communications.
Your data and responsibilities
You retain ownership of the content and business data you submit to Kestor, including invoice and client data.
You grant us the rights necessary to host, store, process, transmit, and display that data solely to provide, maintain, secure, and improve Kestor and to enforce these Terms.
You are responsible for making sure that:
- You have the necessary rights to the data you upload or store.
- Your invoices, records, and business information are accurate.
- Your use of Kestor complies with applicable law, including tax, accounting, consumer, and data protection obligations.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how Kestor handles personal data in connection with the service and related website.
By using Kestor, you acknowledge that your use of the service is also subject to the Privacy Policy where applicable.
No legal, tax, or accounting advice
Kestor is software only. Kestor does not provide legal, tax, accounting, payment-processing, or regulatory advice.
You are solely responsible for how you create, send, manage, and rely on invoices and related records.
Subscriptions, billing, and refunds
Some parts of Kestor may require a paid subscription.
Kestor may offer monthly and annual subscription plans.
When you subscribe, pricing, billing periods, and included features are presented at the time of purchase.
Unless we expressly state otherwise at checkout, subscriptions start immediately and do not include a free trial.
Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal.
If you purchase a subscription through Paddle, Paddle acts as the authorized reseller and merchant of record for that transaction.
If your subscription is billed through Paddle, billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled through Paddle's checkout, buyer portal, and buyer support processes.
You may request a full refund within 14 days of the date of purchase.
For subscriptions, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the initial purchase or within 14 days of any renewal charge.
After the 14-day refund window ends, payments are non-refundable.
However, we may approve refunds outside the 14-day window at our discretion.
We may refuse refund requests in cases of abuse, fraud, or repeated refund requests.
We may change pricing or plans in the future, and any such changes will apply prospectively.
If you purchased through Paddle, you can manage or cancel your subscription using the links in your purchase confirmation email or through Paddle buyer support at paddle.net.
Availability, updates, and beta features
We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of Kestor at any time, with or without notice.
We do not guarantee that Kestor will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
We may label some features as beta, preview, or experimental. Those features may be incomplete, changed, or removed at any time and may be subject to additional instability.
Intellectual property
Kestor and all related software, designs, branding, content, and materials, excluding your content, are owned by Kestor or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.
Feedback
If you provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback, we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Kestor if you violate these Terms, fail to pay for a paid subscription, your use creates legal, security, or operational risk, or we are required to do so by law.
You may stop using Kestor at any time.
Termination does not affect rights or obligations that by nature should survive termination.
Data after termination
After termination or account closure, we may retain certain data for a reasonable period where necessary for backups, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, enforcement, or legitimate operational purposes.
Disclaimers
Kestor is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and availability.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kestor will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunities.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kestor’s total liability arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid to Kestor for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or EUR 100 if you have not paid anything, whichever is greater.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Kestor from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Kosovo, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or Kestor will be subject to the competent courts in Kosovo, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the service, by email, or by updating the effective date above.
Your continued use of Kestor after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
